About the Role
As a Trainee, you will gain a broad understanding of all areas of RFC’s operation. In Stage One (4 months), you will learn about tank fill, warehouse, production, dispatch, supply chain and product design. In Stage Two (2 months), you will help out the office team with a variety of everyday analytical tasks, production forecasts & calculations, commercial calculations, preparing operating reports, marketing, factory tours, administration, HR, and general tasks to support the management team.
Responsibilities
- To immerse themselves in all departments and develop a holistic understanding of the company’s operations.
- To assist each departmental lead (as assigned) with improvement projects or work streams as determined by the lead in the allotted time frame.
- To enquire, challenge and probe aspects of the departmental operations in a manner that seeks to build efficiencies and minimise waste in those departments.
- To report findings and convey understanding and learnings to upper management at set intervals.
- To make themselves available to each department whilst training to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the factory, including covering for staff if required.
Requirements
Qualification: Relevant University-level qualification is advantageous but not essential.
Work Experience: Not necessary, but may be advantageous.
A positive attitude and a growth mindset.
Capable of performing in a fast-paced environment.
Good understanding of team dynamics and how to be a team player.
Good communication skills.

About the RFC Trainee Program
- The Trainee Program has a duration of 6 months and may lead to a permanent position within the company after that time period.
- We hire up to two trainees per year depending on business needs.
