This traditional dish, called Kıymalı Yoğurtlu Makarna (Turkish Mince and Yoghurt Pasta) tastes delicious, is easy to make and serves 5!


  • 500g pasta
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 1 green capsicum (diced)
  • 400g plant-based mince
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Cracked pepper (to taste)
  • 3 cups Raglan Food Co Natural Greek Style yoghurt
  • 1 clove garlic – crushed
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)


  1. Cook pasta according to packet instructions then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a frying pan then add onion and green capsicum. Cook until onion is translucent.
  3. Add mince and cook on medium-high heat.
  4. When the mince is cooked, add the tomato paste, chilli powder, paprika, ground cumin, salt and cracked pepper. Cook for 5 minutes (adding water a tablespoon at a time if sticking to the pan).
  5. In a separate bowl, mix yoghurt, crushed garlic and salt.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to a large serving dish. Pour the garlic yoghurt and mince mixture over top.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!
